We launch PolitiFact Wisconsin and preview the Fall TV season

We’ve just launched PolitiFact Wisconsin, a partnership with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The state has some interesting races this year, particularly the campaign for Russ Feingold’s U.S. Senate seat, so we know the Truth-O-Meter will be busy.

Wisconsin is our sixth PolitiFact state site. We’ll have more states to announce soon.

Meanwhile, as part of our Message Machine partnership with NPR, we are marking the start of the fall campaigns with a preview of the TV ads you’re likely to see. Morning Edition did a segment on the ads this morning.

We’ve got a busy two months ahead. Our national staff and state partners will be checking dozens of ads each week. Please let us know if you see any ads you think we should check. You can e-mail us at truthometer@politifact.com.
